Summer Staff Application


Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in joining us on Summer Staff for our 2014 Family Camp season! We are excited at what God is doing in the lives of guests and staff here at Sandy Cove and cannot wait to see how He will move in the months to come. If you do not already know about the ministry happening at Sandy Cove, let me take a moment to describe where we are located, what we are all about, and how you can join us in helping people connect with God and each other.

Located in North East, Maryland on the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay, Sandy Cove Ministries serves over 35,000 guests each year. We are a well-recognized ministry in the Mid-Atlantic region that operates year-round and offers programs and events ranging from youth to couple’s programs to Family Camp. Family Camp is a special time each year at Sandy Cove. This is the time when we bring in amazing speakers, plan activities, form worship bands and invite families to come and reconnect with each other and God on our beautiful 220 acre waterfront property.

One of the best ways to minister to our guests during this time is to be the hands and feet of Christ to them. We are not here to be served, but rather to serve others. There are many different ways to serve on Summer Staff; whether it is setting tables in the dining room, cleaning rooms in Housekeeping or planning youth activities for children in “ClubCove”.

If you believe that God is leading you to be a part of our 2014 Summer Staff, please review the job descriptions of our Summer Staff positions, begin to pray and take the next step by filling out our application! We begin hiring January 1, 2014, but please note that we will accept applications anytime and will consider applicants once we have received both the application and two references.

    Your availability may affect your ability to be hired. Our 2014 Family Camp program will run from June 29 through August 1. The Marsh Day Camp runs from June 16 through August 15th. All positions require training prior to the start dates. However, depending on the ministry area and job, work is available before and after season.

    Employment is with the mutual consent of you and Sandy Cove. Consequently, both you and Sandy Cove Ministries have the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice. This employment at will agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the company on the subject of termination and it supersedes all prior agreements. Although other company policies and procedures may change from time to time, this employment at will agreement will remain in effect throughout your employment with the company unless it is specifically modified by an express written agreement signed by you and the President of the company.
