Thanks to the generosity of four donors, a matching fund has been established which will enable your gift to go TWICE as far and will DOUBLE every dollar you give (up to $65,000). Check back often to watch it grow!
Without flushing toilets at Sandy Cove, this military family would not have been able to tell us their story:
“I got home from Afghanistan 18 months ago. I don’t know if it’s related to the deployment, but we saw our family dynamic not working well.
We know Jesus, but for some reason we haven’t been able to put His teachings into practice in our lives…”

Construction on Sandy Cove’s new state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly Wastewater Treatment Plant (sewer) was completed in December 2010 and ministry to 32,000 people a year continues… thanks to our gracious God and to your support and generosity!
Now entering our fourth year of The Sandy Cove Royal Flush capital campaign, we still need to receive approximately $600,000 to complete the campaign…and we are depending upon you with deep gratitude to stand with us for the duration in achieving this goal.
A million thanks to those of you who have helped us in this campaign! We cannot do it without your help! We are slowly, but surely reducing the $2.6 million debt through your donations and depreciation…and thousands of people are still able to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this sanctuary we call Sandy Cove…a place where we are committed to helping you connect with God and each other.
In 2006, it became apparent to the Sandy Cove President and Board of Trustees that we needed to replace our worn out sewer. After more than 25 years of use, it simply was no longer doing the job. Toilets backed up. Maintenance men had to improvise and there were times when we wondered if we would have to close our doors. Without a properly running sewer, we prayed every day that the toilets would flush! And sometimes they didn’t!
In 2009, Sandy Cove Ministries officially engaged in The Sandy Cove Royal Flush capital campaign to raise $2.6 million dollars in an effort to replace our failing wastewater treatment plant (sewer) that had more than met its life expectancy of 20 years. Critical to the infrastructure of Sandy Cove, the replacement of our wastewater system was necessary for two reasons: so that Sandy Cove’s ministry of helping 32,000 people yearly connect to God and each other would continue without interruption; and so that we may continue to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us at Sandy Cove, including taking excellent care of the environment and the Chesapeake Bay.
Our prayer is that the LORD would allow us to pay off the associated $2.6 million debt within 7 years through donations from our amazing and supportive friends…and through depreciation.
