A Note from Jan…
Life is an adventure, whether in good times or in bad times; there is always much to learn on the journey. Sometimes it is easy to get stuck in the way you think, in how you relate to others or in the manner you live. A different perspective can be the change you are seeking. I’ve spent many years speaking, writing, coaching, loving and meeting people where they are. My goal always has been to help you grow beyond your perceived limits by changing your perspectives. I believe in a big God who wants us to know Him and His ways and who will walk with us all the way.

Breakout Session
Preparing and Surviving
Statistics show that most women will be widows. Visit any over-50 community or retirement community, and you’ll see that widows dominate. How do we prepare for this unwanted future and how do we survive when/if it’s our future? Designed for those who are widows, might become widows, and those who know widows. This will be a sneak peek into the upcoming Sandy Cove Widow’s Journey weekend March 6-8, 2015.

Gayle Roper lost her husband Chuck after a three and a half year fight with cancer. Even though she had time to face her impending future, she was unprepared for the loss of identity and the loss of love. She survived by holding tight to God’s hand. Gayle is the author of numerous books including Widow’s Journey, also the title of her blog.
