Dr. Johnny Parker is the Director of Counseling and Men’s Ministry at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. As an executive coach, keynote speaker and adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Parker helps pro athletes, CEO’s, ministry leaders and high-achievers experience authentic success by viewing their life as a story so they thrive in what matters most.
His Turn the Page system has helped numerous leaders, churches and organizations such as T-Mobile, National Church Administrators, Christian Cultural Center, Mclean Bible Church, The Fatherhood Commission, Promise Keepers, FamilyLife “Weekend to Remember,” American Association Christian Counselors, NPR, The Pentagon, Corning Inc., NFL, NBA, and Chick-fil-A.
In May of 2008 he was invited to the White House along with other marriage educators to explore ways of strengthening marriage in America.
His work has been featured on CNN International, BET, NBC’s Viewpoint, Essence and the Washington Post. He is the author of several books including, Turn the Page: Unlocking the Story Within You and his newest book, K.I.S.S. (Keeping Intimacy Sweet and Simple).
He and his Jamaican Sensation, Lezlyn, have been married 33 years and they have three sons – JP, Jordan and Joel. The Parkers reside outside of Washington, DC.
