    Widow's Journey

    A Weekend for Women

For Widows of any age and at any point in their journey

People say, "Isn't it wonderful he's with the Lord," and you want to yell, "No! He should be here with me."

Spend a weekend with other women who have lost their husbands to death. You will be with people who understand your journey. Come share your heart and your hurt and be encouraged as we remind ourselves that, hard as it is, our God is able. Learn from women who are where you are, women who have weathered grief and difficult times.

Discovering the Unique Message of Your Own Widow's Journey with Ferree Hardy
Widowhood is one of the hardest challenges a woman will ever face, but there is another side to it. That's what we'll look at. We'll see some unique messages that beloved widows in the Bible carried. Then we'll pause to wonder and ask ourself:  What message might God hold for me? How will I find it? Do I even want it?

The God Who Provides with Janet Kobobel Grant
Finding ourselves sundered from our husbands by death forms perhaps the cruelest loss we’ll experience in our lives. Yet, even in this extreme time of need, God provides—not what we think we need, but what He knows we need. Reminding ourselves about what is true of God helps to sustain us through the grieving process and takes us beyond the platitudes that we hear again and again.

Wise Women Managing Money with Miriam Neff and Valerie Neff Hogan (Virtual)
We are Miriam Neff and Valerie Neff Hogan and we see a great need. Women need wisdom managing money today as never before, especially after becoming widows. We know that women make many financial decisions. Some struggle, some have excess. We advise women to become wise on financial matters, budgets, debt, investments and more.

Fact. Women today oversee 51% of the wealth in the United States. 95% of women will be their family’s primary financial decision maker at some point in their lives. Over 50% of women in the United States are single.

Another fact: many women lack financial confidence. God has entrusted us as Matthew 25 stewards. We’re here to help.
