We understand that your roles have expanded during this COVID-19 season, as you seek to minister creatively and well to many in your congregation. Join us for this semi-directed retreat with the goal of providing space for respite, spending time alone with God, and short programmed sessions together.
This Retreat is for ALL pastors' wives, and we will seek to provide opportunities for you to connect with others in your role (whether senior, associate, youth, etc...).
Jesus encouraged: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30, NIV)
Jesus modeled for us the need to take time away from ministry to pray and be by one's self (Mark 6:45-46 and John 6:15).
Your Ministry Team hopes to provide you with a peaceful and confidential environment where you can rest, laugh, discuss "real" issues, share and find time alone with God.
I went hoping for connections. I think we all found someone or many someones who could relate to “our” problem or need. The speakers knew first hand what we as Pastors Wives go through. They could relate personally. That was a true gift. It was a safe environment, no one else from our church was there. What we shared was confidential. Michelle, Chester, NJ
Renewing my commitment to God and enjoyed meeting and connecting with other Godly women to encourage me. Shyni, Clarkville, MD
The place is peaceful and gives one time for solitude in the presence of the Lord. I'd love to come back. Mirembe, Uganda
What a wonderful time! Time in nature and community with others. Andrea, Newton, NJ
TI was able to be quiet and still, and to be able to listen. The wives I was able to meet were real and genuine and understanding. The speakers were real and not puffed up and truly real and raw. I cannot wait until next year because this is a must have for Pastors' wives. Kym, Laurel, MD
Free from distractions and able to hear more clearly. It is needed every year for senior pastors' wives. A, Bowie, MD
