The Silent Retreat provides time and space to quiet yourself so that you can hear from God. Throughout the retreat, we will invite you to experiment with silence and reduce your use of technology.
On Friday, check in at 4 p.m., enjoy dinner, and join us for a welcome session and orientation led by Program Ministry Director Andrea Hampton. The evening will include a guided time of practicing silence together, which will begin with a message and directed 'Moments with God' with journaling. The retreat's formal silence begins at this time for those who wish to engage. The evening will close with a prayer.
Start Saturday with breakfast, followed by a morning session where you'll have a time for 'Moments with God' with journaling. Lunch is served midday, and the afternoon brings another time for silent reflection and prayer, again including a message and directed "Moments with God" with journaling. Dinner will be followed by a special session ,which will feature conversations with god through music.
After breakfast on Sunday morning, there will be a meaningful closing session with a closing message, a dissolving service, and an opportunity to share your experiences from the retreat. Check-out is at 10 a.m.
Program details will be emailed one week prior to the event.
I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle and just be in a place not far from home, but with an atmosphere for rest, relaxation, serenity, and the presence of God. I found it there. The hotel sits on the Bay and Adirondack chairs line across the hill. I sat for hours, fell asleep, and woke up to a beautiful sunset over the bay. It was magical. There are fresh prepared meals, a Chapel, pools, campground, meeting and conference rooms, a small media center(book store) walking trail. My sabbatical was the best. Lots of things for families/kids to do as well Trip Advisor Review
The presence of God was felt as I entered the grounds of Sandy Cove. When I entered the room I could really feel God's glory and it set the tone for me to draw closer to God. Refreshing and rewarding. Steven, Coatesville, PA
