Go…Stand…Speak! My Story

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. Acts 5:20

Alex was born in Pennsylvania to a totally Hungarian family, which gave him a burden to reach the people of Eastern Europe. Alex and his wife Sallie have served with Trans World Radio (TWR) from May 1969 until July 2011. Alex has been involved with EAN (Ethnic America Network) since 2002. They are currently involved in Church Assist Ministries. They live in New Holland, PA and God has opened doors of ministry with couples and families in the Lancaster County area – spending time with them in the Word of God, in discussion and in deep times of prayer. Prior to joining Trans World Radio, Alex was the pastor of Brigantine Bible Church, Brigantine, NJ.

Musician: C. Thomas “Tom” Williams
I come from a musical family. We would sing and harmonize while riding in the family car together as far back as I can remember. My parents, devout Christians, made sure I was involved in the music program at our church at a very early age. I’ve been in many choirs and choruses over the years and currently am a member of my church choir.

I graduated from High School in 1964. After a “trial run” at college I worked in a steel mill for a couple years before enlisting in the Navy. After four years of active duty returned home and married my High School sweetheart in April and went back to college in September of 1971.While working 40 hrs per week in the steel mill and carrying a full load of courses I graduated in 1975 with honors from West Chester State College (now West Chester University.) At that time my wife was pregnant with our third child. After graduation I stayed in the steel business for a few years in sales and then made the leap to Medical/Surgical Sales. I have been in that field ever since.

Self taught, I have been playing guitar since high school. I was a soloist in the Blue Jacket Choir, the United States Navy’s 100 voice choir located at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center and a finalist in the 2013 Pennsylvania Senior Idol competition.

While my children were growing up I would sing them to sleep every night. I have recorded and produced a CD of some of my favorite hymns as part of a fund raiser for my church. It is in it’s third printing. I tell people it’s a “million seller.” That’s because I have a million (not really) in my cellar!

Tom and his wife SueAnn have four children and 12 grandchildren.

Travis Zimmerman 2015Speaker: Travis Zimmerman
Travis Zimmerman of Speak My Word Ministries loves Jesus Christ with all of his heart. Over the past 26 years his speaking style has been described as electric, inspiring, down-to-earth, and heart-felt. Travis has committed the past 13 years to memorizing God’s Word, relating Scripture to unique analogies and life events which others have enjoyed hearing him recite at national conferences, national and state homeschool conventions, retreats, camps, churches, and colleges. His theme for every message centers on relationships, beginning with Jesus, and his short video devotionals on The Daily Pulse have logged 100,000+ views.

Travis earned an Aerospace Engineering B.S. degree and an MBA. He also served as a United States Air Force officer before God called him to devote his life to ministry. He is currently enrolled in a Master of Arts in Theological Studies at Liberty University and is pursuing ordination through the Evangelical Free Church of America. Additionally, he is currently writing his third book and serves as an elder at his home church, GracePoint. With God’s help, Travis has overcome unemployment three times, conquered a 16 year addiction, and taken care of his bride, Suzanne, after a horrible accident. Because Travis has known hard times, he is able to relate to many and point others to the One True Mediator, Jesus. He and his wife live in Hershey, PA where they homeschool their five school-age children: an oldest daughter and four sons.

Musician: Brenten Megee
Brenten was born with a learning disability called autism. His parents both suffered with drug and alcohol addictions. But remember with great difficulties, God also brings special blessings. Brenten could not talk as a young boy but he could sing. Not only could he sing, but God gifted him with a powerful and controlled tenor voice, and perfect pitch. Today Brenten is honored to use it to sing 4 Him. His music will bless your heart as he shares his testimony and the hope that is found in God. Today Brenten celebrates 9 years of solo music ministry. He is in his fifth year at Lancaster Bible College as a Vocal Performance and Biblical Studies major. Brenten is a member of several area performance groups including the Lancaster Symphony Chorus and the Encouragement Quartet. He has had the privilege of singing with recording artists Steve Green, Damaris Carbaugh, & Marie Barlow Martin.
