Women’s Weekends at Sandy Cove…a women’s retreat full of hundreds of sisters in Christ…worshipping, laughing, relaxing and talking. Gather a group of friends and we’ll take care of the planning so you can enjoy a stress free, fun and spiritual weekend away from your daily routine!
with Liz Curtis Higgs
Take a walk with Ruth as she travels from Moab to Bethlehem, certain of her calling, yet uncertain of her future. Hold Naomi’s hand and watch love put the pieces of her broken life back together. And hang out with Boaz, their kinsman-redeemer, who blesses both women and honors God, big time.
We’ll tarry in the corners of their homes, listen to their conversations, and consider every powerful verse until we can say, “I totally get the book of Ruth. And I see what God is trying to teach me through this rags-to-riches redemption story—he has a plan for my life.”
Girl, does He ever!
If you enjoy meaningful journeys and redemptive endings, shared with humor, honesty, and hope, you’ve come to the right place!
Off To A Rocky Start Ruth 1:1-5
There was a famine in the land… Ruth 1:1
It’s hard to be happy when you’re hungry. Naomi and her family departed Judah for greener pastures, only to experience tragedy upon tragedy. Was God still there? Did God still care?
Coming or Going? Ruth 1:6-22
Return home, my daughters. Ruth 1:11
When a desperate Naomi turned toward home, she tried to send back her Moabite daughters-in-law. But Ruth refused, making a bold vow: “Your God will be my God.” Whoa.
Out Standing In Her Field Ruth 2:1-3:6
Why have I found such favor in your eyes? Ruth 2:10
Back in Judah, the righteous son of Rahab prayed a blessing over Ruth the Moabitess, showing favor to the virtuous young widow in his fields and at his table. Go, Boaz!
Sitting Tight For Mr. Right Ruth 3:7-4:22
Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a kinsman-redeemer. Ruth 4:14
Prompted by Naomi and led by the Lord, Ruth risked everything on the dark threshing floor, trusting her kinsman-redeemer to do his part. Did he ever!

Women of Faith, Women of Joy, Among Friends, Time Out for Women, Moody Women, Women of Virtue, Extraordinary Women, Win-some Women, Women’s Journey of Faith, Women Who Worship, Christian Women Communicating International—if it’s a conference for and about women, Liz Curtis Higgs is honored to be there.
Her messages are biblical, encouraging, down-to-earth, and profoundly funny, helping both sisters and seekers embrace the truth of God’s amazing, unchanging grace.
Liz’s dedication to platform ministry has not gone unnoticed. In 1995 the National Speakers Association honored Liz with their Council of Peers Award of Excellence. Her alma mater, Bellarmine University, presented her with a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2005. And she received an Honorary Doctorate from Georgetown College in 2010.
But what Liz cares about most are the women seated in front of her, first row to last.
Liz is the author of nearly 30 books, with more than 3 million copies in print. In her best-selling Bad Girls of the Bible series, Liz breathes new life into ancient tales about the most infamous—and intriguing—women in history, from Jezebel to Mary Magdalene.
Scripturally sound and cutting-edge fresh, these popular titles have helped more than one million women around the world experience God’s grace anew.
Now, with The Girl’s Still Got It, Liz offers a twenty-first century take on the book of Ruth, dishing out meat and milk, substance and style, in a highly readable, always entertaining, and deeply personal journey with one of the Good Girls of the Bible.
Liz also spent a decade as an award-winning columnist for Today’s Christian Woman magazine. Her articles have appeared in Faith&Friends in Canada, WomanAlive in Great Britain, and Enhance in Australia.
“I have three abiding passions: encouraging my sisters in Christ, exploring the stories of women in the Bible, and writing novels set in Scotland of old. When I’m not traveling, speaking, or spinning a story, I connect with readers online, take copious photos, read historical novels, watch period films, and immerse myself in research—the more books, the merrier. I’m a lame housekeeper, a marginal cook, and a mediocre gardener, but home is still my favorite place to land.”

Robert and Joyce Hayes share through creative use of piano solos, keyboard and recorded accompaniment, vocal solos and duets, blending current as well as classic music.
They are the Worship Leaders and Artists in Residence at America’s Keswick in Whiting, NJ. Robert has been a minister of music, music and youth, and Bible Conference Program Director. He began his ministry at the Montrose Bible Conference as a young man, and later served on the staff there.
Our newest CD release, “Life is Precious,” reflects our journey in our walk with Christ. Remembering that every gift we have comes from Him and that He gives and takes away, we place our confidence in Him to help us live a life of victory. Our goal is to walk closely to Him and listen to his voice through the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. We know that we can depend on His Word and we rejoice in His faithfulness to us. As we walk by faith in Christ Jesus, our prayer is that others will see our praise and trust in Him (Psalm 40:1-3).
