Special Guests

Carlos Whittaker

In a journey that has taken him from the west coast to the deep south, Carlos has become something unique within the church. His favorite phrase is his calling card – to disturb and disrupt to see Christ’s face fresh again – and his voice sounds loud and clear.

Chances are you’ve heard of musician, thought leader, blogger and communicator Carlos Whittaker and just didn’t realize it. Maybe you know him because of a certain Beyonce “Single Ladies” viral video that received a People’s Choice Award or from his segment on TLC’s “LA Ink”, leading worship for the President Of The United States at the White House, or maybe it was through his popular blog – Ragamuffin Soul. Whatever the outlet, one thing’s for certain – Carlos Whittaker knows how to make big moments in his life.

Currently reigning at nearly 7 million views, it’s hard to believe that the overnight success of Carlos’ son’s “Single Ladies Devastation” on YouTube was a complete accident. The calls continued flooding in and the Whittakers found their family in America’s spotlight with appearances on shows like CBS Early Morning, The Today Show and more. But for Carlos, his wife Heather and their three children, this viral moment was just a snapshot of the bigger picture.

“Our family has experienced our share of moments both big and small. What we’ve learned is that every single one has played a pinnacle part in our lives. Each moment has built on to the next one and when we take a step back we see this incredible canvas that has been woven together.”

The release of “Moment Maker” marked Carlos’ debut as an author, but this journey into writing a book began long before that. Growing up between Los Angeles and Atlanta, Carlos began his movement as a “Moment Maker” early on. From professing his undying devotion to his first love to convincing his best friend to provide moral support in the trunk of his car, each moment has made a significant impact on Carlos’ life.

As an adult, Carlos and his wife Heather moved from California back to Atlanta where he joined the team at Andy Stanley’s Buckhead Church. There, Carlos continued to apply ‘moment making’ into his every day life, blogging about his experiences and recruiting his family and friends along the way. These years of “moments” find its way into the book “Moment Maker” where Carlos shares his experiences and divides these discoveries into three parts – “Creating Moments,” “Receiving Moments” and “Rescuing Moments.”

Currently Carlos is regularly teaching at churches and conferences worldwide. Including Catalyst Conference, Crosspoint Community Church, FreshLife Church, and many more.

Worship Leader
Christopher Wright

Christopher, with a band, is returning to lead worship!

Christopher’s joy and calling is to strengthen, encourage and comfort the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 14:3) and to help people of all generations come to see the greatness of God.

Born and raised in the Philly suburbs, Christopher and his college sweetheart, Jeannie, currently reside in Exton, PA with their three adult children. In 1988 they were blessed with a special needs daughter who was unable to walk, talk, or eat-except through a tube. Amanda’s brief 15 years on this earth taught Christopher much about God’s love, sovereignty, and what matters most. Her profound impact on his life caused him to worship Christ like he never had before, and inspired him to write songs that flowed from a grateful, broken heart.

In order to comfort others with the comfort he and his family received (2 Cor. 1: 3-4), Christopher answered the call to full-time music ministry in 1995 and founded Blessed Hurricane Ministries, a concert and worship ministry which has taken him to churches, camps and conferences all around the world. Having also served ten years as a pastor of worship, he enjoys coaching worship leaders and their teams. Whether leading 80,000 in worship at Creation Festival (’04 & ’05) or a handful of missionaries and families in remote places around the world with the WordFM, his contagious passion for making much of Christ remains the same.

As a musical missionary with, Christopher is currently serving as a worship leader at Calvary Chapel of Delaware County in Chadds Ford, PA, as well as interim worship pastor at Calvary Chapel of Delta in Delta, PA. His songs can be heard on his own indie projects as well as on major label recordings by Integrity Music, Maranatha! Music, CFNI Music, and Sovereign Grace Music.
