Sandy Cove's meeting rooms can accommodate groups up to 1000 for many different purposes including retreats, conferences, concerts, crafts, breakout and corporate meetings.

Meeting room space is assigned based on the size of your group. However, we do make note of your requests and try our best to accommodate them. Meeting rooms are complimentary for groups of 30 or more.

There is a variety of free meeting room set-ups to choose from, such as theater-style, u-shape, semi-circle, circle or chevron. Each of our meeting rooms comes set with the appropriate number of chairs to accommodate your group’s request.

Chesapeake Auditorium

The Chesapeake Auditorium is our premier conference room, located on the third floor of the Chesapeake Lodge. It features a 12’ by 24’ hardwood stage and comes with a digital piano, lectern, electric screen, 8 ft. skirted table, water coolers, plus free limited WI-FI. It also has video projection packages and full performance sound packages available. Because of its size and capabilities, this room is typically used by the largest group in house.

Chapel

The Chapel is one of the original buildings on our property built in 1948. It has the nice ambiance of a quaint chapel, with stained glass windows and a vaulted ceiling. The Chapel is equipped with a pulpit, piano, 8 ft. skirted table, water cooler and screen. It also has additional performance sound packages available.

Bayview Meeting Rooms
Ritter and Pritchett

The Pritchett and Ritter Rooms are located on the second floor conference wing of the Chesapeake Lodge and both offer a nice scenic view of the bay. Each of these meeting rooms has both indoor and outdoor access, and comes with a lectern, 8 ft. skirted table, mounted screen, plus free limited WI-FI access.

Inside Meeting Rooms

The Supplee, Guistwite, Hatfield, and Milburn Rooms are adjacent meeting rooms located on the second floor conference wing of the Chesapeake Lodge. These meeting rooms are referred to as our inside meeting rooms, as they have indoor access only. These rooms are equipped with a lectern, 8 ft. skirted table, mounted screen, plus free limited WI-FI access.

Andrew’s Lounge

This semi-private meeting room has a nice water view with lots of windows and glass doors. It is located on the second floor of the Chesapeake Lodge, directly above the front lobby. The room is a more relaxed meeting area, equipped with sofas, armchairs, water cooler, some tables and chairs, plus free limited WI-FI access.

Driftwood Room

The Driftwood Room is an informal meeting room located next to the Palmer Connect-itorium and across the courtyard from the Chesapeake Lodge. It is slightly removed, so it is a nice location for groups desiring a little more privacy. The room is equipped with a lectern, 8 ft. skirted table, upright piano, and water cooler. It also has a ramp access to accommodate guests with mobility needs.

Palmer Connect-itorium

The Palmer Connect-itorium is our largest meeting area, located across the courtyard from the Chesapeake Lodge. It is used exclusively by larger groups that have more than 550 guests, as it can accommodate up to 1,000 guests in a theater setting. It features a stage that is 21’ deep by 56’ wide and includes a lectern, electric screen, and water
cooler. When not needed as a large meeting room, this facility is used year-round as an indoor recreation center featuring basketball, volleyball, our 30 ft. rock climbing wall, ping-pong, pool tables, foosball, and air hockey.

Club Cove Rooms

Accommodate between 20 and 40 guests

The Club Cove Rooms are smaller informal “Sunday School” style meeting rooms that work well as a breakout room, or as a meeting room for a smaller group. These rooms are located on the lower level of the Chesapeake Lodge, directly below our dining room. All of the rooms have independent climate control, and many of the rooms have their own bathroom as an added convenience. There are various sizes of Club Cove rooms available.
