Step by Step Marketing Plan
Step One…your part:
1. Book a date, sign e‐contract and pay deposit.
2. Email, fax or mail the Marketing Questions and Procedures form ASAP to Lisa Crouse, our Marketing Manager, at l.crouse@sandycove.org / Fax 410.287.3196 / 60 Sandy Cove Road, North East, MD 21901
3. Email your Mailing List ASAP to Lisa Crouse, our Marketing Manager, at l.crouse@sandycove.org . Please follow guidelines for creating your group list in Excel.
4. Begin your marketing!
a. Use the custom bulletin insert/registration form provided with your signed confirmed contract. Make copies and cut in half. One half gives your event details and can obviously be inserted in a bulletin or a newsletter, or can be used as a standalone flyer, handout, etc. The other half is a registration form to be placed in an obvious and designated area where people can go and register for this event. Your custom table top display and mini cards will eventually accompany these forms in the same location. See below.
b. Immediately begin making verbal announcements about your event. It’s never too early. Having your Pastor make the announcements is always helpful!
Step Two…our part:
Once we receive your completed Marketing Questions and Procedures form, we will create:
1. Your custom 45 second promo flash video. We will email the link when it is complete.
2. Your custom table topper and mini cards. We will mail them to you when they are printed. When they arrive, please place them with your registration forms.
3. Your custom postcard. We will mail these for you to the list you have provided. ‘Custom’ refers to text only –graphics do not change so we can quickly create your kit! Your group coordinator will let you know the cost of the postage to mail the postcards – or we can send them to you in bulk to distribute.
Step Three…your part again:
1. Pray regularly that those who need to connect with God and your group would commit to joining you for your retreat experience!
2. Embed the 45 second promo flash video into your own website if you have one.
3. Show the 45 second promo flash video at the beginning or end of your church services and email it to everyone!
4. Encourage your Pastor or Leader to endorse your event from the stage or pulpit.
5. Don’t forget to keep your coordinator (Deanna or Lindy) up to date on your progress.
