Women's Weekend: May 16-18, 2008
RoseAnne Coleman
"How Your Garden Grows - Bringing Your Dirt to Jesus"
With musical guests Jeff and Sue Duffield
A weekend away from "real" life – are you ready? Close your eyes and imagine hundreds of women worshipping, laughing, playing, eating, learning…and of course talking…in the midst of God’s incredibly peaceful, beautiful creation.
GUEST SPEAKER: Dr. RoseAnne Coleman | ||||

When Dr. RoseAnne Coleman speaks, she helps women find their place in the story of God. In addition to the Bible, she uses humor and her life experiences to draw in a crowd. "I don’t come as the expert," she says. "I tell you about what hasn’t worked in my life. I tell you about what Jesus has done and continues to do for me." Although she could explain the Greek and Hebrew meanings of passages, she likes to simplify the scriptures for ordinary people. Since there is so much in the Bible that people can understand, she wants to help them grasp it and apply it to their daily lives. She is committed to the belief that her students can find joy in the journey of faith. As a former high school and middle school English teacher, she has mastered keeping the attention of an audience. In addition to her speeches at conferences, conventions and retreats, she regularly teaches Tuesday women’s Bible studies at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, TN. Dr. Coleman is the author of "Moment by Moment: Touching the Face of God." She also recorded "Pretty Good Music," including songs she has written. Along with her book and music album, she offers two CD teaching series, "The Sermon on the Mount" and "The Words in Red." All are available on her website. |

Using great harmonies, outstanding arrangements, and anointed worship, the Duffields communicate Christ's love in a most unique way. Their sound has been favorably compared to groups like the Manhattan Transfer, Singers Unlimited, and vintage Gospel trios, like Lanny Wolfe and early First Call recordings. Sue Duffield, a former radio personality, is a songwriter and speaker for many women’s events internationally. Jeff, her husband, is both keyboardist and arranger. He has backed artists such as Anita Bryant, Dave Boyer, Doug Oldham, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, John Schneider (of Dukes of Hazzard), Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Bros., and produces several Gospel albums every year. |
