Find Rest from "the Crazy Life!"

Candy has been Women’s Ministry Coordinator since 1994. She has a music degree from Wheaton College, accounting credentials earned at Messiah College, and her husband, Greg, has given her over 30 years of valuable experience in spirited matrimony and the power of prayer! They have two sons and daughters-in-law, and a 2 year-old granddaughter. Candy serves as hostess for Sandy Cove women’s events and occasionally speaks and sings for women’s gatherings.

Dear Sisters and Friends,

The demands on a woman’s time in today’s culture are incredible. It is increasingly more difficult to break away, even for short periods of time, to renew and refresh physically, mentally and spiritually. I keep asking myself, "Is it stupid to live a crazy life?" There are millions of women living crazy lives! And I am personally FIGHTING not to be one of them – I’ve decided as a daughter of the King of Kings who has been promised peace, rest and eternal life, that it’s stupid to live a crazy life! But despite my best efforts, sometimes I feel like I’m losing the battle. How about you?

We have worked to expand opportunities for women to stay overnight at Sandy Cove in 2008 with events like our NEW Selective Memory Getaway: A Night to Forget—A Day to Remember, Girls’ Night Out and A Day Off, The Pause That Refreshes, The Red Hat Fling and a NEW Closer Moms & Daughters Weekend. Oswald Chambers said, "Solitude with God repairs the damage done by the fret and noise and clamour of the world." If you can break away from your daily responsibilities for even a one-night retreat, our hope is that the beauty of Sandy Cove will draw you into solitude with God where He can do gentle repairs on the damage inflicted by "the crazy life." Christian Women's Fellowship Luncheons

Individuals and groups are welcome to Sandy Cove's women's fellowship luncheon programs, typically on the second Monday of most months. Bring yourself, a friend or two, or an entire class, and be treated to great food, great music, and an inspiring message. Reservations are required for this popular event, and the cost is just $15.

Selective Memory Getaway: A Night to Forget and A Day to Remember

Sunday night will be a night to forget your troubles while you relax and fellowship and Monday will be a day to remember to press on toward the goal of conforming to the likeness of Christ through experiencing testimonies, teaching and music at Christian Women’s Fellowship.
