Life is uncertain - sometimes disappointing and often painful - but with a witty twinkle in her eye and a Bible in her hand, Lisa Harper shares how we can find joyful security in the arms of Jesus regardless of what chapter of life we find ourselves in. Whether you're a wee bit discouraged because you're in your "fat jeans" again this season or you're deeply wounded and limping badly because you've lost a loved one, Stumbling Into Grace will help you lean more fully into the embrace of our Creator Redeemer. Weaving hilarious and poignant stories from her own life with engaging exposition about the life-changing encounters Jesus had in the Gospels, Lisa will help us dig deeper into the Biblical truth of God's sovereign mercy. This retreat is guaranteed to make you laugh and you'll probably shed a few tears as well, but more importantly you'll be reminded of the abiding, sustaining affection our Savior has for us. Through the power of God's Word and the confirmation of His Spirit, you'll skip away from Sandy Cove convinced that the King of kings thinks you're the bomb!

| Lisa Harper, speaker |
 |
Rarely are the terms hilarious storyteller and theological scholar used in the same sentence, much less used to describe the same person…but then again, Lisa Harper is anything but stereotypical! She has been lauded as a gifted communicator, whose writing and speaking overflows with colorful pop culture references that connect the dots between the Bible era and modern life. Her style combines sound scriptural exposition with easy to relate to anecdotes and comedic wit.
Best-selling author and pastor Max Lucado calls Lisa one of the "best Bible tour guides around." Speaker Priscilla Evans Shirer adds, "If anyone can help us to hear, understand and receive the truth of Scripture it is Lisa Harper. Her God-given ability to not merely teach the Word but package it in a way that stirs the heart and calls to action is incomparable. When she speaks ears perk up!"
Her vocational resume includes six years as the director of Focus on the Family's national women's ministry
where she created the popular Renewing the Heart conferences, attended by almost 200,000 women, followed
by 6 years as the women's ministry director at a large church in Nashville. Her academic resume includes a
Masters of Theological Studies with honors from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis. Now a sought-after Bible
teacher and speaker, Lisa is currently featured on the Women of Faith tour and speaks at many other large
multi-denominational events.
She's written nine books including "A Perfect Mess: Why You Don't Have to Worry About Being Good Enough
For God" and her newest release (June 2010), "Untamed: How the Wild Side of Jesus Frees Us to Live and Love
With Abandon."
Yet in spite of her credentials, the most noticeable thing about Lisa Harper is her authenticity. When recently
asked about her accomplishments she responded with a grin saying, "I'm definitely grateful for the
opportunities God's given me; but don't forget, He often uses donkeys and rocks!" |
| Alicia Williamson Garcia, musician, worship leader and speaker |
 |
Alicia Williamson Garcia has been blessed with the ministry to articulate the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and
word. Her award-winning vocals combined with her ability to articulate God's truths have made her a national favorite for
ministry and women's events. "The heart of our ministry is the Word of God. God has given us music to open the heart
and His infallible Word to fill the heart and change a life. Worship, in its total essence is a response to the truth, not a
reaction to circumstances," says Alicia.
Alicia has been privileged to partner with many ministries including Precept Ministries, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, Dr. Tony
Evans of the Urban Alternative, Women of Faith, The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, INSP, CBN, In Touch with
Charles Stanley, The Gaither Homecoming and Food For the Hungry. "As I have quieted myself and have purposely set
aside time to study the Word of God, He has opened doors for me that I could never open myself," she explains.
She has recorded many projects: "Alicia," "There Is a Hope," "The Rescue," "Faithful Heart," "Praise and Worship"
and "We Win." Alicia's newest project is a DVD, recorded at the Inspirational Networks Studio (INSP), LIVE in Worship –
Alicia Williamson Garcia.
