During Sandy Cove’s six weeks of Summer Together, there’s something for everyone, from grandparents to parents and teens all the way down to infants!
In addition to all the fun and games, your family can expect a variety of activities to choose from, all designed so that you can connect with God and each other through the Word, creation and community.
Each day is designed for you to be together
- as a family
- as a couple
- some alone time just you and God.
Meanwhile, your kids will be having a blast in ClubCove (ages 0 - elementary) or CrossWalk (teenagers)! You might see them getting wagon rides, racing cardboard boats, swimming, making crafts, singing, playing in wacky relays, or taking time to study the Bible at their level. See For Kids tab below!
You can see we have many speaker options this summer. Old and young, black and white, formal and informal education, father and son, husband and wife, mothers for daughters, homeschool, old school and new school, big church, little church and para-church. Our heart in bringing such unique diversity is to help folks connect with God and each other in order to be transformed into the image of Christ – recognizing that everyone does that differently.

"I've been at Bethany for over 10 years, and during this time, it seems that my entire theological world has been deconstructed, and reconstructed again on the same foundation - with the end result feeling somewhat as if I've been through a squeezing machine, had some of the less essential elements removed, and came out on the other side feeling spacious, joyous, better able to love and enjoy all that life has to offer."

MUSIC with Jaime Jamgochian
CONCERT with Jaime Jamgochian and Band
Sometimes life comes as one surprise after another. Just ask Jaime Jamgochian. This accomplished worship leader/artist/songwriter, whose credentials include a degree from the acclaimed Berklee College of Music was undoubtedly on her way to a career in pop music when her life was forever changed. After graduation, Jaime took an internship at The City Church in Seattle, Washington. "I felt like God was calling me to set aside a year or so to intern there and grow under their leadership." While she honed her skills as a worship leader and saw her family impacted by her faith, the doors also opened for her to find a record label home with Centricity Records, becoming the label’s flagship artist.
Jaime’s commitment to God and His faithfulness have clearly been the central tenets of her music and ministry. Her life is filtered through her faith, so she yearned to make an album that would reflect just that. With songs that are committed to worship, her current debut album Reason to Live delivers the right combination of personal honesty with modern, melodic melodies that congregations will easily embrace as part of their worship repertoire.
Week 5: July 27-August 1, 2008

David and Ruth live in Manheim with their two children, Justin and Ashleigh.
Dr. Ashcraft will be speaking on...
Messy In The Middle – a study in the life of Old Testament Joseph
Life is like a journey and you are in the middle right now. For a lot of us it seems that we live much of our lives with things messy in the middle – times when we wonder if we will ever survive to see a better day – times when we think God has surely abandoned us – times when we question just what in the world is going on in our lives.
- Family Ties –Y our family has a huge impact on your journey and often times it’s your family that makes things messy in the middle of your journey. No matter you current situation, God understands your circumstances and He wants to help us rise above the negative influences in our lives.
- Momentary Setback – Why does God allow dark times in our lives?
- Lost & Found – Trust. Once it’s lost can it ever be restored? Is it even worth the effort?
- This Beautiful Mess – You don’t know what’s coming around the next corner of your life, but God does and says to hang on because while life sometimes get’s messy in the middle, it’s the end of the story that matters – it’s the end of your life that matters.

Daily Schedule
On Sunday, check your family into the campground at 1:00 pm or into the lodge at 4:00 pm. And then the week begins! ClubCove and CrossWalk meet each morning and evening while mom and dad are listening to inspiring messages or spending some quiet time together. Afternoons are free for quality time with your family – lots of time to play together! Friday morning we'll finish off with a great closing message, sending you back into the world better connected to God and each other.
It’s your choice – everything is optional…so take the time to talk,
laugh and eat ice cream. Or visit the prayer room to be still and
know that He is God. Or dig into His Word and study to show
yourself approved. Reflect. Go deeper. Connect.Fun Together!
Fun Together!
There are so many activities for a family at Sandy Cove, it’s like a 3-ring circus!
The first ring is full of water with the wavecutter, waterskiing, canoes, kayaks,
boat rides, and of course splashing and swimming in one of our three pools…Sports and games fill up another ring with volleyball, basketball, Frisbee golf, tennis, mini golf, shuffleboard, ping pong, soccer, and more… Then another ring has crafts, family shows, the ‘Night to Forget,’ rocket making and Dive In movies…
Plus the rock wall, the big swing and the zip lines in the
"what was I thinking?" ring! And what about archery, the moonbounce, pony rides, and s’mores?
OK, so it’s more than three rings…but here’s the thing: all the clowning around we do here will pull your family closer together, and make great memories… as well as stronger strong men, more balanced girls, and tamer lions…
…so run away from home and join our circus!
See ya’ this summer at Sandy Cove!
Free time is fun time at Sandy Cove… not ONLY for the exercise, or to cool off, or to experience an adrenaline rush or to get sore muscles and feel like you’ve accomplished something… When we play together, we build bonds, strengthen relationships and make memories, and that’s what it’s all about!
