Christmas in September Mark P. Fisher is the President and Head Innovation Coach at Sandy Cove. "Do you have a minute, Mark?" came the quiet question from behind me as I stood looking into the Chesapeake Auditorium. I turn and looked up. There stood this graying gentleman who towered over me. As he spoke, his spirit of genuine care for his family and gratefulness to God poured out. "I can’t thank you enough…," he began. "Our family has been anxiously waiting since December last year to be together like this. For Christmas, I gave each of my three grown children and seven grandchildren time together as a family at Sandy Cove this Labor Day weekend." I smiled and nodded, urging him to continue. "To sit on that bluff overlooking the water and listen to my family discuss the questions about God you gave us after the session this morning was worth every dollar I invested." At this point, as this giant of a man spoke, tears began to run down his face. "My wife died of cancer…" he couldn’t continue. Thank God that He has given us this tool called Sandy Cove to help folks (like this family) connect with Himself and each other in the beauty of His creation.
