Guest Speaker: Dr. Charles F. Betters
With 39 years of preaching experience, Dr. Chuck Betters brings both expertise and wisdom to his hard-hitting preaching style. His uncompromising view of the truth of God’s Word has, for over 22 years, drawn people to Glasgow Church who desire a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. “I often tell people that, ‘It’s not about you… it’s about the glory of God in you.’ I want people to understand that when you are hurting, God is sovereign, and you can trust him, but ultimately it is about the glory of God. This understanding of God’s love and God’s purpose together should motivate us to be a redemptive presence in the world today.”
Musical Artist: Dr. Chuck L. Betters
Chuck L. Betters joined the GRPC staff in 1989 as Minister of Music and took on the additional responsibility of Executive Director of Ministries in 2000. Chuck is married to Melanie and they have four children. Chuck has a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and a doctorate in worship studies. Chuck has recorded two piano CDs. Since 1995, Chuck has also overseen the holiday dramatic musicals produced by the people of GRPC.

Speaker: John Groth
John and Ranelle, married for 27 years, live in Newark, DE, with their three children, Erin, John and Shannon. Their dog, Todd, completes the family. John’s interests include traveling with the Air Force, golfing, reading, going to movies, practical jokes, e-mailing, and humor-filled times eating meals with family and friends. John's ministry through Priority One centers on leading men to Christ and discipling them in their faith. Pastors are being encouraged and challenged in their tough ministries. Congregations are being treated to humorous, hard-hitting, Christ-centered messages. John draws from his experiences as an Eagle Scout, volunteer fireman, husband, father, pastor, military chaplain and school teacher. He has taken trips into combat zones and has had a sobering ministry at the Dover Air Force Base Department of Defense Mortuary.
Musical Artists: The Linton Family
Taking Family Dynamics to a Whole New Level! We are a family – Mom and Dad plus seven “kids” and two dogs – striving to live in harmony with each other (literally and figuratively). We’ve been making music together for a long time, but began sharing music in a concentrated way about ten years ago. We play piano, flute, violin, viola, cello, occasionally the guitar and celtic harp, and the steering wheel! Our programs are interactive and rather spur-of-the-moment, and our audiences seem to really enjoy the mix of classical, sacred, and popular music interspersed with stories and jokes. We look forward to providing music Seasoned Citizens’ Day at Sandy Cove!
