The Seniors' Ministry of Sandy Cove is affectionately called "Seasoned Citizens." Many of the year-round events are favorite traditions of folks 55 and above. If you are honored with the distinction of falling into this category, a special monthly luncheon is designed with your tastes in mind!
Seasoned Citizens Days at Sandy Cove include inspiring music and message, and a delicious luncheon. The cost is just $16 for advance reservations (made by 5pm on the Monday preceding the luncheon) and $19 at the door, pending availability. Typical programs run from 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with coffee available beginning at 9:15 a.m.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended! Call 1-800-234-2683 by 5 pm on the Monday preceding the luncheon. The cost is $16 per person. After 5 pm Monday, you will be considered a walk-in guest and will pay $19 at the door pending availability.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Gayle Ryle
Gayle Ryle was born and reared in Kentucky. He attended Bryan College, a Christian liberal arts school in Dayton, Tennessee. He received his Master’s Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1962 and his Doctor of Ministries Degree from the same school in 1980. Gayle and Charlene have been married for 53 years and have three married sons, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He has pastored two churches and since retiring in 2002 has served six churches as an interim pastor. He is currently interim pastor at First Alliance Church, Hockessin, Delaware.
Musical Artists: The Marini Family
The Marini Family ... the Harp Family! The family presents different programs, about half music and half narrative. The songs are played on harps and other instruments by the Marini children and a clear Gospel message is woven in by dad, Alex Marini, the harp maker.

Guest Speaker: Ben Duffy
"The Arab Israeli Conflict: Which Side is God On?"
We will study together Genesis 21 as we examine this question and the implications this has for us as Christians in today’s world enabling us to be bearers of peace and reconciliation. Ben's ministry - Kingdom Connect, connecting with Arab Kingdom workers in the Holy Land. Ben Duffy, Director of Kingdom Connect Ministries, has recently returned to the United States with his wife Donna and their children after living for 15 years among the Arab people of Nazareth, Israel. He has extensively studied the people and issues of the Middle East, including courses at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Haifa University in Galilee.

Since dedicating his life and music to Jesus Christ, these are the things that have become foundational to Derek, and he seeks to share them through every performance of music he offers. Guest Speaker: Pastor John Paderson
The Rev. John G. Paderson is pastor of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newark, DE. He answered God’s call to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament from a 26+ year business management career which took him to several different parts of the world and into several different cultures. He is deeply interested in the mission and ministry of the church in 21st century culture. Two years ago he spent a month with the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon to see what their ministry to African culture could teach us about ministry to our own culture. He was born and raised in Boston, MA where he earned a BS degree from Northeastern University, a MBA from Suffolk University, and a M. Div. from Andover Newton Theological School. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC focusing on the marks of the church for the 21st Century. He resides in Newark, DE with his wife, Kathleen, of 35 years.
Musical Artist: Michael Faircloth
Michael Faircloth is a recording artist, Christian concert pianist and veteran "Artist in Residence" at Sandy Cove for more than twenty years. He is an accomplished concert pianist who regularly blesses Sandy Cove audiences with his original arrangements of classical, traditional and contemporary Christian music. Michael's music is impressive and powerful, balanced by his humble spirit and generous sense of humor.
