A large part of the ministry of Sandy Cove is helping groups to connect with God and one another! You may choose to attend one of Sandy Cove’s programs as a group (click here for event listing) – or plan your own event. You may plan your event midweek or on weekends, although there is greater availability of dates midweek. Comfortable lodging is available in our 150-room Chesapeake Lodge year round or in our campgrounds May through September. The Water’s Edge Dining Room will provide your group delicious all-you-can-eat buffet meals. Meeting rooms are sized to accommodate groups up to 1000. And, your group can participate in a host of various activities – from teambuilding challenges to relaxing moments in the hot tub to friendly competition on the sand volleyball court.

How to Schedule Your Event

You may contact Sandy Cove about your group's event and request a packet of information or a proposal from a sales representative by:

Completing the Information Request Form online or Calling Sandy Cove's Group Ministry office toll-free, 877-598-7839.

You will be put in touch with a sales representative who will assist you in booking and contracting for your event. Please have the following information when you contact us:

• Desired date(s)
• Number of guests
• Number of sleeping rooms needed
• Number of meeting rooms needed
• Other special requests

Other Pre-event Planning and Assistance

As part of Sandy Cove's complete meeting services, our conference services staff will assist you in finalizing all of the necessary details for your event, beginning about four months before your arrival. Some of these details include guest/rooming lists, audio-visual or other technical requirements, meeting room setups, and any other needs you may have.

When you arrive for your event, your coordinator will welcome you and is available throughout your stay to assist in any way possible.

Why not hold your retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains?

Additional retreat accommodations are available at our summer camp facility in the Blue Ridge Mountains of West Virginia. Specializing in youth retreats, Camp Sandy Cove offers rustic but comfortable dormitory style accommodations, as well as a limited number of semi-private rooms, available for group rental from mid-April through mid-June and late August through mid-October. Our facilities include two outdoor pools, a challenge course (with a zip line that takes you zooming over our lake), a full or self service kitchen, a large dining hall, meeting rooms to accommodate groups of 10 to 400 people, a lake for canoeing, fishing and more. Single Day Events Interested in bringing a group to Sandy Cove for just the day? At Sandy Cove, we are refocusing on our primary mission of ministering to overnight guests. We encourage you to consider growing your event into an overnight stay. If you contract a minimum of 10 rooms or 20 guests, we will provide an all-inclusive package rate plus complimentary meeting space for your group.
