The Marsh Day Camp
The Marsh, A Day Camp at Sandy Cove offers fun, challenge, excitement, and opportunities for learning and spiritual growth in an environment designed specifically for kids. With a ratio of one staff member for every six campers, we will get to know your child personally.
- Our programs are designed for boys and girls ages 6 to 14.
- The Marsh will operate 9 weeks in 2008, June 16 to August 15 (closed on July 4).
- Each five day session is only $185. This includes lunch, day trips, and our Thursday "Late Night" for campers ages 9-14. Special programs may cost extra, see below.

Our staff works hard to ensure that every day is filled with fun at The Marsh. Daily Bible studies, weekly themes, day trips, special guests, dress up days, talent shows, special meals, unique games and creative activities make each week exciting for campers of all ages. We hire young Christian men and women who truly desire to work at The Marsh and have strengths and abilities that allow them to be effective leaders for your children.

What Exactly Is The MARSH?
Your child's exciting journey of exploration will take place in North East, Maryland at Sandy Cove Ministries. Here at The Marsh, boys and girls ages 6-14 are grouped by age for a dynamic, fun-filled week in our non-profit, non-denominational Christian day camp. In a child's eyes, The Marsh is a place where every day is filled with making new friends, learning about God's amazing love, discovering new interests and playing until they are worn out!From thrilling activities to weekly day trips, Bible teaching to unique games, campers are sure to have a blast and grow in their relationship with Christ! Our staff will provide instruction, supervision and encouragement in a Christ-centered fashion; and with a ratio of one staff member for every six children, we'll get to know your child personally!

EXTENDED CARE Child care is available from 7-9 am and from 4-6 pm if your schedule does not allow for arrival and pick up during regular camp hours. Pre-registration is required.

Thursday:"Late Night at The Marsh!" Each Thursday, campers ages 9 and older will have an opportunity to stay late at The Marsh. Your child will have a great time helping prepare Marsh Stew, playing fun games and hitting the pool for an evening swim. Campers must be picked up at 9:00 pm. June 16 to June 20Superhero Week
What is your special super power? Work as a team to unmask the true identity of The Marsh's own superhero during this week of fun and games. Wednesday Trip: Experience the mystery of turning a potato into a chip at the Herr's Factory Tour. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14.June 23 to June 27
Special Program: Canoeing Camp
Spend time each day learning proper canoeing techniques as you explore the coves around Sandy Cove! Moderate swimming ability required. Additional $25 fee. Ages 10-14 only.
Army-Navy Week
Enlist with us for a week of team competitions as Team Army faces off against Team Navy! Join the fun as we compete to see who is the stronger team. Wednesday Trip: Ride the Ducks at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14.
Special Program: Arts & Crafts Camp - Girls Only
You'll spend your mornings doing specialized arts & crafts activities, then join in the afternoon fun with the rest of camp! Additional $25 fee. Ages 9-12 only.
June 30 to July 3All-American Week
We're celebrating America's birthday all week long with games and activities we're sure you'll love! The Marsh will be closed on Friday, July 4th. There is no day trip during this week. The fee for this week of camp is $150. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14.July 7 to July 11
Wet & Wild Week
Pool games, squirt guns, water balloons and more! Cool off at The Marsh during a super-soaked week of fun! Wednesday Trip: Tubing on the Brandywine River. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14.July 14 to July 18
Special Program: Nature Explorer's Camp
Enjoy a week of activities that focus on God's natural creation. Habitat hikes, river explorations and more! Additional $25 fee. Ages 8-10 only.
Commercial Free Week
Drop your remote and join in a week of television fun. You could be a cartoon character, find yourself on a reality show, be a contestant on a game show and more! Wednesday Trip: A Day at The Movies at Sandy Cove. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14.July 21 to July 25
Special Program: Outdoor Adventure Camp
Your days will be filled with activities such as outdoor cooking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, zip line, trail riding at a local stable and more! Additional $50 fee. Ages 12-14 only.
Wild West Week
Saddle up and head to The Marsh for a week of fun in the Wild West. Experience cowboy adventures, outlaw gangs and a horseless rodeo! We’ll head out on Wednesday for some bowling at Blue Hen Lanes in Newark, DE.July 28 to August 1
Special Program: Arts & Crafts Camp - Girls Only
Develop new skills and work on special projects during this camp just for those interested in the arts. Additional $25 fee. Ages 9-12 only.
Marsh Madness
Expect the unexpected in this fast-paced, surprises-around-every-corner, anything-can-happen week! Who knows the secrets to this week of fun and excitement? On Wednesday, head to the Brandywine Zoo and come face to face with some amazing animals.August 4 to August 8
Special Program: Sailing Camp
Spend time each day learning the ropes of sailing on the North East River. Moderate swimming ability required. Additional $25 fee. Ages 10-14 only.
Olympic Week
Are you ready to go for the gold? Now is the time to take the Olympic challenge. Join a Marsh Olympic team and compete for the prize. Wednesday Trip: Roller Skating at Christiana Skating Center. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14.August 11 to August 15
Special Program: Junior Outdoor Adventure Camp
Your days will be filled with activities such as outdoor cooking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, zip line, trail riding at a local stable and more! Additional $50 fee. Ages 10-11 only.
Shipwreck Island Week
Hoist the sails and swab the decks! We're going on a high seas adventure! Search our "lost islands" for pirate treasure and lots of fun. Wednesday Trip: Ice Skating. For boys and girls ages 6 to 14.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Simply complete the online registration form here
- Pay a $50 registration deposit per week per child online. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted.
- Upon registering, you will receive by email:
- a health history which you must complete and bring with you to camp
- a parent handbook
- Payment in full is due by June 1, 2008. You can sign up for automatic payment on the due date when you register online.
- Registrations made after June 1 must be paid in full at time of registration.
If you cannot attend the week for which you are registered, please notify The Marsh immediately. All camp fees are fully refundable and transferable up to four weeks before your child is scheduled to arrive at The Marsh. Cancellations after that time will not receive a refund of camp fees, nor a transfer to another week.
