October 7-8, 2010- Laughter, Love & Living Things
Comedy with Peggy Dawson as Maybell Jerkwater
Peggy Dawson

Raised in church all her life, she never recalls anyone telling her about the salvation message until she was a young adult. God uses her character, Maybell, to touch hearts with the gift of laughter. She says things that Peggy would like to say, but sometimes doesn't for fear of looking foolish. Maybell doesn't care if she looks foolish. She loves people. Everyone is her friend. She accepts people for who they are, and doesn't judge anyone. As you can see, we all could learn a lot from her.

Music and Message by Susan Piper
Susan Piper

God has been working on Susan a long time! She began performing as a child, in order to win love in a very sad home. As a teenager, she was singing in bars, asking the bartenders to spike her drinks and having relationships with men. Depression, anorexia, and a breakdown followed. She left home the minute she could and was married at eighteen. (And quickly divorced.) Years of therapy made Susan strong enough to stumble into a job in a nursing home, a job she had no training or education for, a job that brought her out of herself and showed her that she had the capacity to love. The job was God's lifeline. Susan came to know Jesus in 2000 and has never been happier! She never imagined life could be so rich, that the loneliness could actually go away and that she could sleep at night without drinking. Her latest album, “Living Things” was just released in 2009.

March 10-11, 2011- “Still Lips Laughing…and Speaking Truth”
Special Guest, Judy Buch
Judy Buch

Need a good laugh? Judy returns to Girls’ Night Out due to popular demand!  Join Judy as she “vents” (as in ventriloquist) with peoploid, Daisy Hawkins and other pals.  Judy will share some of the miracles that happen when people wrap up in prayers they can touch. Based on I John 3:18-19 “…let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” (NIV) Expect a blessing and expect to laugh!

International performing artist, Judy Buch, will amaze you. With 20 years stage experience, she blends comedy, ventriloquism and a message for your heart that speaks the Truth. You will become so involved, you forget there is only one human being on stage. Her characters, like Daisy Hawkins and Jack Fairlane, are true to life. A rare and refreshing talent, Judy was voted “Ventriloquist of the Year,” in 1996 by her peers.

June 2-3, 2011- “Laughter, Good Medicine for Life”
Speaker, Singer, Comedian: Kay DeKalb Smith
Kay DeKalb Smith

Described by many as the "Carol Burnett of Christian Entertainment," this red-headed ball of enthusiasm from Nashville, Tennessee will simultaneously tickle your funny bone while immersing your heart and mind in the important claims of the gospel. She has been called a "consummate communicator" using props, songs, and stories to creatively share Biblical truth. This dedicated Christian woman has devoted her life and talents to creatively sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Kay began as a singer and has developed her speaking/teaching skills throughout the years. Always funny, this lady who "dares to go where no other crazy woman will go," skillfully uses her sense of humor to penetrate the heart. She is famous for having you laugh one moment and crying the next. Kay provides the healing opportunity to laugh at her clean humor and grips hearts with a challenge to draw closer to our Lord.

Her stage abilities were honed as a musical performer in “I Hear America Singing” at the amusement park, Opryland USA. She has appeared in TV commercials, done voice-over work on many recordings, has been a cover feature in “HomeLife Magazine” three times, made numerous TV appearances, and her videos have aired nationally on FamilyNet.

October 6-7, 2011 – “Twist of Faith – The Story Behind Auntie Anne’s Pretzels”
Special Guest, Anne Beiler
Anne Beiler

It was a short distance from Anne Beiler’s little town in the heart of Mennonite country to her humble farmer’s stand that would become the first Auntie Anne’s Pretzel store. But it was a long life journey for Anne to get there. Her story is more than the inspiring saga of building a successful business; it’s a personal journey of faith and forgiveness.

From the death of her young daughter to surviving the rigors of building a successful business to struggles with depression, Anne offers a deeply personal view of her life. She says, “If you knew my life and understood where I came from, you would agree that Auntie Anne’s, Inc. is a modern day business miracle.”

You will get an inspiring look at the life of a woman who went from an 8th-grade Amish education to founding Auntie Anne’s, Inc., the world’s largest mall-based pretzel franchise.
