Where is Sandy Cove located? Sandy Cove is conveniently located in Cecil County, Maryland, midway between Baltimore and Philadelphia, just 7 miles off I-95. Take Maryland Exit 100 (northbound) or 100A (southbound) to the town of North East on Route 272. About three miles past the quaint downtown district, you'll see our large sign on the right. Welcome to Sandy Cove, situated on 220 acres of Maryland woodland, overlooking the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay! Click here to look at our Map & Directions page. How many people can Sandy Cove accommodate? Sandy Cove can accommodate up to 550 for overnight events, with 10 meeting areas, and a dining area that seats 550 people. What dates are available for my group to attend? Your group sales representative will be able to check the availability of dates you have requested. Midweek dates are more readily available than weekends. Click here to access our Information Request form. Is there a choice of menu for meals? If you are planning a private banquet or special lunch or dinner, your group contact will choose the menu. If you are an exclusive group, i.e. your group has contracted every guest room in the conference center, then your group contact will select the menu for your stay. When multiple groups are in-house, all are served the same menu when they go through the buffet lines. Click here to see our menus. Does Sandy Cove accommodate special dietary needs? Yes, the dining room staff is happy to provide food necessary for special diets. There is a form (available upon request) that needs to be filled out with your special requests prior to your arrival. Are there facilities for food preparation? Guests may only prepare their own food if they are campground guests. There are no other facilities for food preparation. Health codes prohibit bringing your own food into the conference center to cook. There are vending machines with prepackaged foods and drinks, and a microwave available for popcorn, warming baby bottles, etc. What is the cost to have a meeting at Sandy Cove? When you contract for your overnight group event at Sandy Cove, your package includes lodging and meals. Weekend rates are published and vary by the month of your arrival. Additional costs may include conference room rental, technical services, snack receptions, and other special services. May a contract be revised? Once a contract is processed and sent to you, there is typically a three week review time in which you can make any changes prior to signing it and returning the contract with your 10% deposit. Any revisions or reductions need to be made prior to signing and returning the contract. How can a contract be cancelled? Cancellation or reduction of a contract is possible only if Sandy Cove Ministries is able to arrange a replacement group generating equal income. If a replacement group is arranged, then all but the initial deposit will be refunded. |
