Sandy Cove Ministries

As sojourners, we face so many obstacles every day that threaten to knock us off the road as Christ-followers…busyness, regrets, financial stress, health issues, disappointments, crushed expectations, difficult people and the list goes on.

Do you ever grow weary? Do you know someone else who is?

Are you ready to recapture joy? Peter, Jesus’ dear friend, prepared his last words, his heartfelt legacy, to encourage and assure those he loved so much as they continued their journey to meet him again in heaven.

Discover the power of Peter’s legacy both to strengthen you as you walk and equip you to uplift your weary friends. Relationship is the key to the dynamic Christian life; relationship with God and relationship with fellow sojourners. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn Peter’s fundamental keys that will move you from weary to wonder-filled, meandering to marching, and struggling to strong.

Please let your pastor’s wife know that there is a special “Pastors’ Wives Connection Track” just for her!

Main Sessions with Linda

  • “The Hope that Cannot Fail”

I Peter 1:1-12

How firm is your foundation? Just as tiny crevices and mislaid bricks can cause a building’s foundation to crumble, previously undetected cracks in our faith foundation may take us by surprise. Learn how to examine your faith foundation to be sure it stands prepared to weather all seasons.

  • “Coming Alive Again: Clear Thinking, Healthy Hearts, and Enriching Relationships”

I Peter 1:13-3:12

  • “The Mystery of Suffering”

I Peter 3:13-4:19

How many well-meaning people and carefully written books have attempted to make sense out of your suffering? Let’s explore the mystery of suffering and discover the gift of unexplainable peace found in the seven reliable steps we will consider.

  • “You’ve Got the Power!”

I Peter 5, II Peter 1:21

Have you experienced a time of great power in your life but can’t remember when and why it slipped away? Or maybe you’ve always wondered why the Christian life seems like so much work. Would you like to recharge your spiritual batteries and experience a power beyond description?

  •   “Deception and the Gift of Grace”

II Peter 2-3

How could it happen to you? You’re minding your own business, walking the Christian life, and suddenly find yourself off course, wandering, feeling lost, and alone. Or you open your eyes and find yourself on a side path completely. When did you make that turn? Where did you go wrong? Will it ever be right again? Find strategies to protect you from deception in difficult times and the grace that restores you if you’ve wandered...or find clear direction to help a confused friend. Grace greater than all your sin!

Breakout Session

“Breath of Heaven-Learning to Hear God’s Voice” – Melodie Tunney

God desires intimacy with each of us, and speaks in many creative ways. Often, we either don't stop long enough to listen or we don't really understand what we are listening for. This session will help us learn how to hear God's voice, and sharpen our spiritual communication with Him. "The sheep that are my own hear and are listening for my voice, and I know them and they follow me." (John 10:27, Amplified)

~ Jessica, Fort Dix, NJ

“Thank you for another wonderful weekend at Sandy Cove! To me, coming to Sandy Cove is always a sanctuary and the weather just contributed to that feeling this past weekend. I don't know if the staff enjoyed the isolation the snow created but I certainly did. Over the years, I've attended several retreats at Sandy Cove, for singles and women. For me, nothing compares to The Digging Deeper Weekends…the time spent in God's Word is a blessing in this life and preparation for eternity with Jesus.”
~ Jan
